Dynamic Page Settings: Page Info
3 min
In the Page Info tab of your dynamic page settings, you can manage key details about your dynamic pages. This includes understanding what dynamic pages are, how to connect datasets, and optimizing the URL structure for better SEO.
What's a dynamic page?
Dynamic pages use a consistent layout and design, while changing their content based on the page's connected collection items.
There are two types of dynamic pages:
- Dynamic list pages: These can showcase several items from a collection in galleries or repeaters. They allow visitors to click an item to go to its dynamic item page where they can view more details about the selected item.
- Dynamic item pages: These are automatically created for every item in your page's connected collection. They display details about individual collection items in various page elements that connect to fields in your collection.

How do I change the content of the page?
To change the dynamic content displayed on a dynamic page, you need to update the connected collection's content. The changes in the collection will automatically reflect on your dynamic pages.
What's a dataset?
Datasets are the vital link between the elements on your page and the content in your collection. You can use them to create a two-way connection, allowing you to display collection content, capture user inputs, or both.
With dynamic pages, you connect the elements on the page to a dataset that connects to the relevant fields in your collection. You can also add filters to your datasets to exclude certain items, or add sort conditions that determine the order in which the items appear.

What is the URL slug structure?
The URL slug structure defines the last part of the web address for each of your dynamic pages. It helps describe the content of each page so that site visitors and search engines understand what it is all about.
Add variables to the URL slug structure if you want to use fields from your collections in each dynamic page's URL.
Important: If you want the old URLs to automatically redirect to the new ones you create by adding variables, make sure your site first has a connected domain. If your site does not have a domain connected, the old URLs will no longer work and instead, will load 404 error pages.
To edit your URL slug structure:
- Click the SEO tab at the top.
- Click the field below URL slug structure.
- Enter the text you want to use or click Add Variable to use dynamic values from the collection.

Can I edit the page caching in the Advanced Settings?
Yes. Here you can adjust your page caching settings to make the page cached automatically, or manually. If a page is cached, its data is saved locally so it takes less time for the page to load. There are some pages we do not recommend caching, such as pages that have user generated content or dynamic data (such as pricing). Learn more about cache rendering.
To edit your advanced settings:
- Click Advanced Settings.
- Click the drop-down and select an option:
- Automatically: The page is automatically cached (if it meets the requirements).
- Manually: The page is not cached automatically. Click the Turn on caching for this page toggle to choose whether or not you want the page to be cached:
- Enabled: The page will be cached. Click the drop-down to choose how often you want to reset this page's cache.
- Disabled: The page will not be cached.
Can I add filters or sorting to the dataset on this page?
Yes. Click Dataset Settings to add filters and sorting options that control which content to show on your page.
