Content Manager Request: Returning to the Last-Visited Page of a Pagination Bar When Moving Between Pages

Currently, when a site visitor goes to a page that includes a pagination bar, they are always brought to page 1. This happens regardless of what page the visitor came from.
Take, for example, a site that has a dynamic list page with a repeater to display collection items. This page includes a pagination bar, so visitors can see more collection items on more pages.
A visitor clicks page 3 of the pagination bar, and then clicks one of the items to open that item page. When they click 'back' from the item page, they get brought to page 1 of the dynamic list page. This happens even though they had last been on page 3 of the dynamic list page.
