About Tax in Canada

2 min read
From July 2021, Wix is required to collect tax on certain subscriptions, applications and products based on such items’ taxability in Canada.
Depending on your location, you may be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST), Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), Provincial Sales Tax (PST), Québec Sales Tax (QST), or a combination of some of these taxes.
If you are a GST / HST registered business in Canada with a GST / HST number from the Canadian Revenue Agency, you may be eligible for a tax exemption.
You can add your GST / HST number to your Wix account by updating your payment details.
For users in British Colombia, PST applies even if you add a GST / HST number.
