Wix Editor: Font Looks Different on Different Browsers

2 min read
Wix sites are optimized to display correctly on the most common browsers and devices used today.
If you notice that your text fonts look different on different browsers, it is because different browsers and devices use different rendering engines, and therefore may result in minor differences.
Sometimes these minor differences can have a domino effect. For example, a 1% difference in rendering of a font size, can cause a line with only 20 characters to appear 1/5th of a character wider. If your text box doesn't have any extra room for the text, this may cause the last word to wrap to the next line, which makes your text box longer and pushes the rest of the components down the page.
Tip:
If you are experiencing this issue, we recommend that you make the text box wider than needed. This provides room for the text to expand a bit, without splitting it onto another line. See below:

We are doing our best to minimize the effects caused by the these factors, while continuing to provide you with the flexibility to create a feature rich site.
