When you sign up to Wixel, your login information is managed by Wix. Update your email, password and more settings from your Wix account settings page.
Your Wix account details include information such as your username, account name, login info, and your recovery phone number.
Checking your credit balance
You can check your current AI credit balance from your account settings in Wixel. Your current balance is displayed as well as information on when your credits are due to reset.
Changing the email address of your account
When you create a new account, you can choose to sign up by entering an email address and password, or by using a social login (e.g. Google, Facebook). In either case, the email address you enter or the email address linked to your social login gets associated with your Wix account.
If you wish to change the email address associated with your Wix account, you can do so.
Important:
- Make sure that your new email address is a real address with no typos. Wix sends a code to this email address to verify it.
- Each account needs a unique email address. It's not possible to use an email address that's already linked to another Wix account.
To change your email address:
- Go to Account Settings in your Wix account.
- Click the Account email field.
- Enter your account password in the pop-up.
- Enter your new account email address.
- Retype your new email account email address to confirm it.
- Click Next.
- Check your email account for an email from Wix.
- Copy the 6-digit confirmation code.
- Go back to Account Settings in your Wix account.
- Paste the code into the pop-up.
- Click Submit.
Changing your password
Change the password you use to log in to your account at any time. You’ll need to know your current password in order to verify your account.
To change your password:
- Go to Account Settings in your Wix account.
- Under Edit Password:
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password.
- Enter your new password again.
- Click Save.
Password tips:
When creating a secure password for your account:
- Your password must be at least 6 characters (recommended at least 12 characters) and may contain:
- English upper and/or lower case characters
- Numbers
- Any of the following special characters: _ - ! @ # $ % ^ & *
- Your password cannot contain a period (.).
- We recommend you add a Recovery Phone Number to help you recover your account in the event you have forgotten, or lost access to, your email.
Updating your recovery phone number
Having a confirmed recovery phone number can help you recover your Wix account if you're having problems signing in. You can update your recovery phone number whenever you need to.
To update your recovery phone number:
- Go to Account Settings in your Wix account.
- Scroll down to Login Info.
- Click Edit next to your recovery phone number.
- Enter your new number.
- Click OK.
- Enter the confirmation code sent to your mobile phone.
- Click Confirm.
