The Inventory tab is the place to update stock levels when you receive new merchandise. You can update the inventory of a single product or multiple products at once to save time.
Updating the inventory of a single product
Find the product you want to update and adjust the inventory as needed.
Locating products:
You can search for products by name or SKU or filter the list to search by category.
To update inventory for one product at a time:
- Go to Inventory in your site's dashboard.
- Select a location at the top left.
Note: Relevant if you manage inventory in multiple locations. - Update inventory:
- If you track inventory: Enter a new inventory amount.
- If you don't track inventory: Select In stock or Out of stock from the Quantity drop-down.
Updating inventory for multiple products at once

You can select the products you want to update and perform bulk updates. For example, if you need to add 10 units to the inventory of multiple products, you can add them all at once.
To update multiple products at once:
- Go to Inventory in your site's dashboard.
- Select a location at the top left.
Note: Relevant if you manage inventory in multiple locations. - Select the checkboxes next to the products and variants you want to update.
Tip: You cannot update tracked items and not-tracked items at the same time. - Click Update Inventory.
- Select an option:
- Increase by amount: Select Increase by amount and enter the amount (e.g. add 10 units to each selected product).
- Reduce by amount: Select Reduce by amount and enter the amount (e.g. remove 10 units from each selected product).
- Set a new quantity: Select Set a new quantity and the new inventory level (e.g. set the inventory of all the selected products to 10).
If you don't track quantities:
You can select multiple products and change the status to 'In Stock' or 'Out of Stock' at once.
