From the Edit Field panel, you can customize the specific field settings.
Different editing options are available depending on the type of form field.
Option | Explanation |
|---|---|
Field title | Enter the title of the field that appears above the form field e.g. 'First Name.' Field titles are recommended for accessibility. Learn more |
Show initial text | None: No prompts for visitors. Placeholder text: Enter some example text to prompt your visitors. Item from dropdown: Offers a default selection of answers. Today's date: Offers the current date as a default option. |
This field is: | Required: Choose if you want the field to be required for form completion or not. Checked by default: Choose if the checkbox is empty or pre-checked. |
Set character limit | Set a limit for the amount of text a user can add inside the field. |
Link settings | Show link: Click the toggle to show or hide link. Link text: Enter the text that links to the destination URL. Where does it link to?: Enter the destination URL. |
Supported file type | Click a file type option from the drop-down for file uploads. |
Clear signature button | Allows visitors to clear their signatures and start again. |
