Verify your domain with Pinterest by adding a meta tag to your Wix site. When you verify your domain and confirm ownership of your site, Pinterest will show your full website URL on your Pinterest profile and allow other Pinterest users to learn more about your business.
Step 1 | Retrieve Your Meta Tag From Pinterest
- Retrieve the verification code from Pinterest:
- Go to the Pinterest home page and sign in to your Pinterest account.
- Click the Show More icon
at the top right. - Click Edit settings.
- Click Claim on the left.
- Enter your site's address and click Claim.
- Click Add HTML Tag.
- Copy the HTML code in the text box.
Note: The code's format should be: <meta name="p:domain_verify" content="your Pinterest Code here"/> - Leave the Pinterest screen open.
Step 2 | Add the Meta Tag to Your Wix Site
- Go to SEO Tools in your Wix site dashboard.
- Click Site Verification.
- Click on Pinterest to expand.
- Enter the meta tag.
- Click Save.
Step 3 | Complete Site Verification on Pinterest
- Return to Pinterest and click Next.
- Click Submit.
