Understanding Wix Analytics Email Marketing Reports

3 min read
Wix Analytics reports offer a range of reports that break down your site and business data to help you gain insight and make decisions. You can customize these reports to focus on your specific audience as well as create new reports.
There are three Wix Analytics reports that focus on email marketing. These reports are:
  • Email Campaign Performance
  • Email Campaign Engagement Over Time
  • Email Campaign Clicks
You can view these reports from your Wix Analytics dashboard. Look at the reports over a specific timeframe, create custom views, and use filters to find the information you need.
In this article, learn more about:

Email Campaign Performance report

The Email Campaign Performance report lets you see all the campaigns you've sent in one list and helps you make decisions as you compare them.
Click the Select a measure drop-down to choose a specific metric to compare your campaigns. For example, 'Unique Opens' shows you which campaigns had the most opens by recipients ('unique' means one recipient is counted as one open, even if they viewed the email multiple times).
Learn more about the different campaign filters as well as how to read the report as a bar chart and table in Wix Analytics Marketing & SEO Reports.

Email Campaign Engagement Over Time report

This report allows you to combine all your results from email marketing campaigns and see how a certain metric has changed over time. Select a time period and then choose which measure you want to track.
Some of the metrics you can filter over time include:
  • Unique opens
  • Unique clicks
  • Bounced
  • Unsubscribed
For example, see how campaign engagement (opens and clicks) has changed over the past 30 or 90 days and view which days had the highest open rate. You can also see which days or months you had the highest number of unsubscribes. This data can help you make smarter business decisions.
Learn more about how to build a custom report or view the report as a line chart or table in Wix Analytics Marketing & SEO Reports.
Example of using this report:
Use the Email Campaigns Over Time report to analyze how your campaign is performing on different days. You can see which day of the week receives the highest open-rate or click-through rate and update your campaign sending strategy from there.

Email Campaign Clicks report

This report is dedicated to helping you see how the links you add to your email campaigns perform. How many people are actually clicking your call-to-action or interacting with 'learn more' links? Which links were clicked the most and what pages of your site did they lead to (e.g. shop page, homepage)?
Note:
If an image and a button in a single campaign lead to the same URL, you will see a combined number of clicks on the report as clicks are tracked per link. However, if you use the same URL in multiple campaigns leading to a site page (e.g. Homepage), the report will show multiple clicks since the clicks came from different campaigns.
In this report you can also use the Bar Chart Split to see new metrics such as what devices your recipients were using to click links in the email. Learn more about reading the bar chart vs. bar chart split as well as how to build a custom email click report in Wix Analytics Marketing & SEO Reports.
You can also build your custom report that includes information about the different contacts who opened the campaign. Click More next to Campaign type to choose additional filters such as the contact name or email of the campaign recipient.
