Troubleshooting Virus, Malware, and Phishing Warnings

3 min
Virus, malware, and phishing warnings can appear on Wix websites for a number of different reasons. Typically, these warnings are incorrect identifications; or what is called a “false positive”.
A false positive occurs when a security system, such as antivirus software, mistakenly identifies something as a threat, though it is actually safe.
Click an issue below to find out how to resolve it:
Wix’s dedicated security team actively scans our platform and infrastructure for security threats on a regular basis. This is complemented by 24/7 monitoring to detect vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. You can trust that we are taking every necessary measure to maintain a secure and safe environment for you.
For additional website security information, see our Wix Security Measures Overview
If, after troubleshooting using the steps above, you still encounter security issues, contact the Wix security team and we'll be happy to assist you.
