Wix Bookings: Limiting the Booking Window

4 min read
Important:
We are in the process of releasing a new version of the Booking policies section, but it's not available to everyone yet. Your version may appear slightly different.
Set limits on exactly how far in advance and how close to your sessions clients can book. This helps you avoid double-bookings or putting your staff under pressure.
Applying limits to your booking window blocks off time and affects the availability of your other Appointments, Classes, and Courses.
Let's look at an example: You limit the booking window to seven days in advance but not less than 48 hours before the session. If a client tries to book 6 weeks in advance, they see a message explaining when the session can be booked.

If they try to book a few hours before the session is supposed to start, they won't find any available times.

Note:
When clients attempt to book a class that is full, they see two different buttons depending on your settings.

If you enable waitlists for your classes, clients can click Join Waitlist.

If you don't enable waitlists for your classes, clients can click Check the next available date to book into the next upcoming class session.

You can edit the text which appears on your booking calendar, including on the next available button, in your Editor. There is a 25 character limit on the button.
