I do not see a CTA (call-to-action) on my ad
Some placements on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger do not support CTAs. The visibility or functionality of your CTA may depend on your ad's objective, format, and other factors
Below is a list of all Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger) placements that may not show or have limited CTA functionality:
- Stories Placements: Facebook Stories, Instagram Stories, Messenger Stories
- Video Placements: In-Stream Video Ads (especially mid-roll), Facebook Reels, Instagram Reels, Live Stream ads
- Feed Placements: Instagram Explore Feed, Marketplace Feed ads, Facebook Right Column ads (desktop), Search Results ads, Facebook News Feed Instant Articles
- Interactive Placements: Instant Experience ads (formerly Canvas), Playable ads, Instant Articles
- Messenger Specific: Messenger inbox ads, Messenger sponsored messages (some formats)
- Audience Network: Certain native banners, interstitial placements
- Special Formats: Collection ads, Carousel ads, Dynamic Product ads (specific variations)
Note: Meta's ad system is dynamic. These limitations can change based on platform updates or account-specific factors.
The clicks in my Facebook Ads dashboard don't match Wix Analytics reports
Clicks in your Facebook Ads dashboard may not match the number of site sessions in Wix Analytics. Wix Analytics only counts site sessions if visitors accept the cookie consent banner. If a visitor clicks an ad but doesn’t accept cookies, their session won’t be recorded, causing a data discrepancy.
My campaign was disapproved
Before a campaign goes live, Facebook reviews all its components (text, images, audience targeting, etc.) to ensure compliance with their advertising policies. Common reasons for disapproval include:
- Inappropriate or misleading content
- Non-compliance with Facebook’s ad policy for the industry
- Targeting or creative format violations
Check the specific reason for disapproval in your Facebook Ads account and make the necessary changes. You can also appeal a disapproval through the platform if you believe your ad complies with the guidelines.
My ad caption is different than what I wrote
Facebook may use content from your target URL, such as the meta description, to automatically generate captions for your ad. This allows Facebook to test which content resonates best with your target audience and optimize the ad for engagement.
My Facebook account is linked but my Instagram account shows 'not linked'
If the Instagram status shows 'not linked,' sign into the relevant page on Facebook and connect the relevant Instagram account. Once connected, refresh the campaign setup in your site's dashboard. Learn how to connect to your Facebook page.
You can also go back to Edit Meta assets and change the Facebook page to a new one that has a connected Instagram account.
Note: Make sure the connected Instagram account is an Instagram Business account.
My Facebook and Instagram campaigns are not showing results or data
Campaigns can take up to two weeks to optimize and start showing results. During this period, Meta's algorithm learns about your audience and adjusts the campaign for better performance
I need to disconnect my Facebook account from my Facebook & Instagram Ads with Wix campaign
To disconnect your Facebook account:
- Go to Marketing Integrations in your site's dashboard.
- Click View on Meta Pixel & CAPI.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Reset this site's connection to Facebook.
- Click Disconnect Facebook.
Tip: Disconnecting removes your site's connection to Facebook for all marketing activities, including Facebook & Instagram Ads, Facebook Pixel, and other integrations. You can reconnect your Facebook account at any time if needed.
I need to switch the Facebook page connected to my site
You can only switch to a Facebook page that is in the same Meta Business Account you originally connected to Wix. If the page you want is in a different Meta Business Account, you need to reset your connection in Marketing Integrations and reconnect to the correct account.
To switch to another Facebook page within the same Meta Business Account:
- Go to Facebook & Instagram Ads in your site's dashboard.
- Click View Assets.
- Click Edit Assets.
- Login to your Facebook account.
- Select the new Facebook page from the list.
Note: If your Facebook page is in a different Meta Business Account, you'll need to reset your connection in Marketing Integrations (see the steps in the issue described above this one), then connect the correct Meta Business Account that owns your intended Facebook page.
