Connecting user input elements to the CMS

CMS Request: Filtering Live Site Content with the Text Input Element

Collecting votes

Currently, it is not possible for visitors to use the Text Input element to filter live site content. The Text Input element can only be used to collect content that visitors submit to your CMS collection. It also cannot be used by visitors to search for specific content that appears on your site.

Workarounds:

You can add the Wix Site Search app to allow visitors to search throughout your site's content.
You can use coding to allow visitors to enter keywords in the text input element and search for dynamic content that appears on the page. View a tutorial on using the text input element to search your collection content.
