CMS Request: Adding Advanced Date Filtering to Collection Views

Collecting votes
Currently, you can filter items in your CMS (Content Management System) collection views based on field values using basic conditions, but the available options for date fields are limited. Adding advanced date filtering would allow you to more precisely manage which items appear in your collection view by applying conditions like “is today,” “is between,” “is before,” and “is after,” either for today or for a specific date.

With advanced date filters in your collection view, you could:
  • Show only items updated today, or on a specific date.
  • Filter items that fall within a date range (such as "is between January 1 and January 10").
  • Clean up your collection view by quickly seeing upcoming events, expired items, or anything based on date logic.
  • Combine date filters with other criteria to drill down into your data more effectively.

For example, a real estate manager could use advanced date filters to view listings that were created between two dates, or an event coordinator could filter for upcoming events by using "is after today."

Adding this feature would help you manage, audit, and edit collection items more efficiently. It would be especially helpful for large collections with time-sensitive data. You would not need to create separate datasets or use Velo code.
