Wix Editor: Adding and Managing a Welcome Screen on Your Mobile Site

Welcome screens are a great way to introduce your mobile site's brand, while allowing the site to fully load in the background. 
There are plenty of customization options available, such as adjusting the screen's animation, designing the background, and even adding a logo.

Adding a Welcome Screen

Welcome screens are a fun, animated addition to your site. Allowing your site to load in the background gives visitors the full mobile experience while promoting and introducing your brand. 

To add a welcome screen:

  1. Click the Mobile Tools icon on the left side of the mobile Editor.
  2. Click Welcome Screen.
  3. Customize your Welcome Screen using the options available. 
  4. Click Done.


Customizing Your Welcome Screen

Customize your welcome screen to make it your own. There are plenty of design options available, such as animations, logos, and color.

To customize your welcome screen:

  1. Click the Mobile Tools icon  on the left side of the mobile editor.
  2. Click the Show More icon beside Welcome Screen.
  3. Click Edit .
  4. Customize your Welcome Screen using the options available:
5.  Click Done.
Note about the logo size:
You can upload any resolution of your logo, but in order to fit the screens of mobile devices, we display it at 120x120 pixels only. If the upload is not a 1:1 ratio, we take the highest value, either the height or width, to fit 120 pixels. The other value is resized to keep the logo proportions. For instance, if the logo is 1:2 ratio, the height will be 120 pixels while the width will be 60 pixels.

Removing a Welcome Screen

You can easily remove the welcome screen from the left menu at any time. 

To remove your welcome screen:

  1. Click the Mobile Tools icon  on the left side of the mobile editor. 
  2. Click the Show More icon beside Welcome Screen.
  3. Click Remove .

Preview your Welcome Screen:
You cannot see your Welcome Screen in Preview mode. Instead, click Play animation at the top of the Welcome Screen Design window to see it in action!
