Web accessibility ensures that everyone, including those with disabilities, can access, navigate, and enjoy a site. Some visitors experience the internet differently - and it is important to adapt sites you build to accommodate those experiences.
There are various ways to check and improve a site's accessibility with Wix, including the Accessibility Monitor. This a tool that scans a live Wix site for potential accessibility issues, and displays the status on the site's dashboard.
Important:
While Wix is always striving to improve our products and services, we cannot guarantee that your site will be compliant with your region's accessibility laws and regulations. We recommend consulting an accessibility expert to ensure that your site is meeting the standards for your region.
Checking and using the Accessibility Monitor
Open the Monitor from your site's dashboard to check your live site's accessibility status. If any issues have been detected, you can use the Monitor to open the Accessibility Wizard in your editor and resolve them.
To use the Accessibility Monitor:
- Go to your site's dashboard.
- Hover over Site & Mobile App in the left menu.
- Select Website under Website & SEO.
- Check the Accessibility card.
- (If issues identified) Click Fix Issues to open the Accessibility Wizard in your editor (Studio Editor or Wix Editor).
- Follow the steps in the Wizard to improve the site's accessibility.
- Save and publish the changes.
