About Wix.com Services & Operations in Russia

We have currently paused paid services in Russia. If Wix.com is available, users can however, continue to create free websites as Wix is first and foremost a platform that enables free speech.

We will continue to have Wix support freedom of speech to any Russian citizen - while monitoring and removing sites that support war or violence.

Generally speaking, yes. However, we are aware that some users are experiencing issues when accessing Wix.com and Wix sites in Russia. This issue is not imposed, nor caused by Wix.

As of March 7 2022, Wix no longer offers any of our premium services to new or existing users based in Russia.

If you are an existing user, Wix will honor your current subscription until the expiration date.  Once expired, you won’t be able to renew any paid services and your website will be migrated to the free version.

As of March 7 2022, Wix does not allow payment processing for users based in Russia. 

Wix currently does not sell anything in Russia and no commerce can take place on our platform.

This means that you will not be able to accept payments on your site. Also, offline payment is not available.

As of March 7 2022, Wix does not allow payment processing for users based in Russia. This includes payments made in RUB and / or any other currency.

Unfortunately, we do not provide the option to freeze or extend your account. 

Wix domains: As of March 7 2022, Wix no longer offers any of our premium services to new or existing users based in Russia. If you currently own a Wix domain, you will not be able to renew it and your ownership will be lost once it expires. You will however be able to try to repurchase it from a different domain provider once it’s released to the market.

External domains: Please note that Wix works with multiple domain registrars. It is possible that some of them have already, or will in future, cease their operations in Russia and / or to Russian users due to regulatory sanctions applicable to them or other third party operations over which Wix has no control.
