About this change

In June 2018, the United States Supreme Court (in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc.) held that states may charge sales tax on purchases that are made from out-of-state sellers, even if the seller does not have a physical presence in the taxing state. This provides states the ability to collect sales tax based on an economic locale, regardless of any physical locale.
States may now collect sales tax from out-of-state sellers that sell their products online, subject to certain rules. Since the time of the Wayfair decision, most states have enacted Wayfair-type rules with varying effective dates.
Given these rules, Wix.com Ltd. is now subject to tax in many more states and, as such, is complying as required by law. In light of the above, you may notice sales tax is being applied, as appropriate, on your billing statements.
