Converting a Static Page to a Dynamic Page
2 min read
Converting a static page to a dynamic page allows you to display more content from a collection using a single layout. This enhances your site's functionality and efficiency, eliminating page limits and streamlining your editing process.
When saving the page contents to a new collection, the process automatically maps compatible elements on your page, enabling you to set up field names and types that save to the new collection. If you select an existing collection, a dataset is added, but the elements are not mapped automatically.
Note:
You cannot convert your home page, or app pages into dynamic pages.
To convert a static page to a dynamic page:
- Go to the Pages panel in your editor.
- Hover over the static page you want to convert to a dynamic page.
- Click the More Actions icon and select Convert to Dynamic Page.
- Click Start Now in the panel on the right.
- Choose how you want to convert the page to a dynamic page:
