Before you can start displaying ads, you need to get your site verified by Google AdSense. If you already have an active AdSense account, you can simply add this site to your site list.

Once the verification process is complete, go ahead and create your first ad and then come back to the Editor to activate the code.

To set up AdSense:

Step 1 | Verify / Add your site

Do one of the following:

Existing AdSense User: If you already have an active AdSense account, follow these instructions.
New to AdSense: Follow the instructions below to verify your site.
1. Go to Google AdSense and sign up for an account.
2. In the Connect your site to AdSense screen, click Copy Code.
3. Go to the Tracking & Analytics tab in your site's dashboard.
4. Click + New Tool and select Custom from the drop-down list.
5. Set up your custom code:
  1. Enter the code you already copied from Google AdSense.
  2. Enter a name for your custom code (to help you identify the code if you have multiple codes).
  3. Under Add code to pages, select All pages.
  4. Select Load code once from the drop-down list.
  5. Under Place Code in, select Head.
6. Click Apply.
7. Access Google AdSense again.
8. Check the I've pasted the code into my site checkbox.
9. Click Done.
10. Provide AdSense with a payment address so you can receive payment.
  Tip: Enter your name and address as it appears in your banking information.
11. Verify your phone number (required for some countries. A prompt appears if required in your country.
12. Wait to receive an email from Google AdSense confirming that you are approved.
  Note: This may take between 1 day and two weeks.

Step 2 | Create your first ad

After your site was verified successfully, go back to Google AdSense to create an ad.

Sign in to Google AdSense.
Click Ads.
Click Ad Units.
Click +New ad unit.
Select Display ads.
Enter a name for the ad at the top left (to help you identify ads if you have more than one).
Click the Ad size drop-down on the right and select Fixed.
Enter the width and height of the ad you want to display.
Tip: You see a preview of the size you selected.
Click Create.
Click Copy Code Snippet to copy the ad code and click Done.

Step 3 | Activate the AdSense ad code in the Wix Editor

Go back to your site and select the Google AdSense app in the Editor.
Click Settings.
Paste the code and click Activate.
Note: It may take up to 48 hours for the ad to be displayed on your site.
