Wix Restaurants: Setting Up Your Availability for Online Reservations

The Wix Table Reservations app lets guests book a table online based on your restaurant's availability. You have complete control over your restaurant's schedule for accepting online reservations, including the days and times of the first and last seating, the maximum party size and the duration of the reservation. You can also choose to require manual approval for reservations before confirming their table reservations.

To manage turnover time effectively, you can set rules for the duration of table reservations. Start by setting a default duration for all reservations, and then add rules based on the number of guests to ensure that each party has an appropriate amount of time to enjoy their meal. You can also limit the availability of reservations to prevent a rush of guests arriving in the same 15-minute time slot.

To set your availability:

  1. Go to Table Reservations in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Settings at the top right.
  3. Click Online reservations.
  4. Set the days and times that guests can book a table online under Online availability:
    • Click Edit to set the days and times of the First seating and Last seating.

      • (Optional) Click + Add Special Day to add an event that affects your restaurant's availability.
    • Advanced notice: Set the amount of time before the reservation start time that guests can book a table online.
  5. Set the Min and Max number of guests that can be booked online under Party size.
    • Select the Display your phone number checkbox to have guests call your restaurant when booking reservations for larger party sizes.
    • Click the Require manual approval toggle to require your approval before confirming reservations. Enter the party size that requires your approval.

  1. Click Edit under Turnover time to set a default duration for all reservations, and then add rules based on the number of guests: 
    • Default duration: Set the duration for all table reservations.
    • Rules: Add rules to the duration of the reservation based on the number of guests. For example, you may allow longer durations for bigger parties, and shorter durations for small ones.

  1. Set a limit for reservation availability under Pacing to avoid a rush of guests arriving in the same 15 min time slot.
    • Select the Maximum number of guests per 15 min time slot checkbox and set how many guests can arrive in the same 15 minute time frame.
    • Select the Maximum number of parties per 15 min time slot checkbox and set how many parties can arrive in the same 15 minute time frame.

  1. Click Save.
