Make checking out customers faster and easier by adding a Bluetooth wireless scanner to your Wix POS Register solution. You can purchase a Socket S720 wireless scanner from the Wix POS shop, or connect a different model of Bluetooth scanner.
Important:
While many common Bluetooth wireless scanners should work with Wix POS, some scanners may not be compatible. We recommend using the Socket S720 scanner for the best experience.
Connecting a Socket S720 Bluetooth scanner
After you purchase a Socket S720 wireless scanner, you need to connect it to your POS system.
To connect a Bluetooth scanner:
- Open the POS tablet.
- Tap the Menu icon
at the bottom left.
- Tap Settings, then select Manage Hardware.
- Tap Set Up Scanner.
- Tap Connect next to Socket S720.
- Turn on scanner by holding the power button until the light turns on and the scanner beeps twice.
- Unpair your scanner from current connection:
Note: If your scanner was never connected to a POS, skip to step 8.- Click the Factory Reset QR code link.
- Scan the QR code and click Done.
- Scan the QR code in Step 2. Switch to keyboard mode.
- Scan the QR code in Step 3. Set data format.

- Click Continue at the top right.
Tip: Make sure you keep the barcode scanner turned on. - Click Connect next to the relevant scanner.
Tip:
Once the scanner successfully connects, the Connect button will change to Connected.
Connecting other Bluetooth scanners
If you already have a different scanner or purchased one other than the Socket S720, you can connect it to your Wix POS Register system.
Important:
- While it should be possible to connect many of the most common Bluetooth wireless scanners, it may not be possible every scanner.
- Consult your scanner's user manual for specific instructions on how to perform these steps.
To connect a Bluetooth scanner:
- Open the POS tablet.
- Tap the Menu icon
at the bottom left.
- Tap Settings, then select Manage Hardware.
- Tap Set Up Scanner.
- Tap Connect next to Other Wireless Scanner.
- Prepare your scanner to connect to the Wix POS Register system:
Note: Consult your scanner's user manual for specific instructions on how to carry out these steps:- Turn on your Bluetooth wireless scanner.
- Unpair your scanner from any other system.
Tip: You can skip this step if your scanner is new.
- Follow instructions in your scanner's manual to switch to keyboard mode.
- Follow instructions in your scanner's manual to set the data format to "as is".
Note: This means that the scanner doesn't add a prefix or suffix to barcodes. - Click Continue at the top right.
Tip: Make sure you keep the barcode scanner turned on. - Click Connect next to the relevant scanner.
Tip:
Once you successfully connect, the Connect link changes to Connected.
