Wix Photo Albums: Adding New Galleries to an Album

2 min
Your photo album comes with a cover page and a gallery. You can add additional galleries to your album at any time.
Tip:
By adding additional album galleries you can separate different themes (e.g. family and friends, pets) or different times in an event (e.g. preparations for the wedding ceremony, the wedding party, etc.).

To add a new album gallery:

  1. Go to Photo Albums in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Show More icon next to the relevant album.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Click Media on the left.
  5. Click Add New Gallery at the bottom.
  6. Add photos to the new gallery:
    • Upload new photos:
      1. Hover over the gallery and click Manage Media.
      2. Upload photos using the media manager.
      3. When ready, click Done at the bottom.
    • Move photos from other galleries:
      1. Hover over the gallery with the photos you want to move.
      2. Click Manage Media.
      3. Select the photo you want to copy or move.
Tip: Hold down the Ctrl key to select multiple photos, or click Select All to select all of them.
      4. Click Move To on the top bar.
      5. Select the new gallery from the drop-down menu.
  7. (Optional) Click Publish Now to publish your changes.
Important:
Each page is part of the general album, but can also be accessed directly using its own subdomain. Each gallery receives a unique URL (e.g. www.yourdomain.com/album_name/page_name)
