Wix Enterprise: About Domains

From the Wix Enterprise dashboard, you can manage all the domains for your sites. Transfer or connect an existing domain or, if you need a new domain URL, you can get one straight from your dashboard. 

Transfer your domain so that Wix becomes your domain host. Once the transfer is complete, your domain's contact information, DNS settings, and registration payments are all managed from within your Wix Enterprise account. 

Domain transfers can take up to 7 days to complete. If you want your domain to link to your site in a shorter timeframe, you can connect your domain to Wix first.

Connect a domain you already own to Wix by changing its name servers. With this connection method, Wix hosts your DNS, while your domain remains registered with its current host.

To connect your domain, you need to update the DNS records in your domain host account (usually the company you bought your domain from). Wix Enterprise provides a step-by-step outline to help you. 

Once the domain has been connected, it can take up to 48 hours for your domain's new DNS records to propagate and your site to appear worldwide.

Get a domain from Wix to give your site a personalized, unique web address. This makes it easier for visitors to find your site by providing a distinct online space for your company and brand.

Wix Enterprise provides a complimentary domain voucher every time you make a site Premium. Use this voucher to get your desired domain.

Once you've transferred, connected or gotten a new domain, you can assign it to any site in your Wix Enterprise account. You can assign a domain to a site that has no assigned domains. Alternatively, you can reassign a domain as the new primary domain for a given site.
