Wix Editor: Changing Your Page's Meta Description

Your page's meta description is a meta tag that gives potential site visitors a summary of what your page is about. It is not visible on your site's page, but appears below your page's title tag in search results. Learn more about meta descriptions

To change a page's meta description:

  1. Go to your editor.
  2. Click Pages & Menu    on the left side of the editor.
  3. Click the More Actions icon beside the relevant page.
  4. Select SEO Basics.
  5. Enter the page description under Meta description (description in search results)?.
  6. Publish your site.
Important:
Search engines will update your page's meta description the next time that they crawl your site. If you want to try to speed up the process, you can submit your page's URL to search engines.
Tip:
See how your page is displayed in Google search results under  Preview on Google at the top of the SEO Basics tab.
