CMS Request: Saving Collection Changes in Draft

Feature Request|We are collecting votes for this issue
Currently, changes you make in CMS collections are applied to your live site immediately, unless you use sandbox collections or the control item visibility setting. There is not an option for saving all CMS collection changes, including field structure changes to a draft without them going live.
Workarounds:
  • You can use sandbox collections to make changes and review them in a staging environment before publishing. Once you are ready, sync the sandbox collection to your live site to apply the updates. This allows you to safely review and edit content without affecting what visitors see until you're ready to go live.
  • You can use the Control Item Visibility setting to keep collection items hidden while you edit or prepare them. Set items to ‘Hidden’ so changes won’t appear on your live site until you’re ready. When finished, simply switch their status to ‘Visible’ or schedule them to go live automatically.
We are always working to update and improve our products, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
