Wix Blog: Deleting Blog Posts

Remove unwanted posts from the Publish or Drafts tabs by moving them to Trash. If you change your mind, you can always restore them later.
In this article, learn how to:

Deleting a published post or draft

Send a post or draft to the trash. When you send a post or draft to the trash, it is stored in your trash until you choose to permanently delete it, or restore it to your blog feed. 

To delete a published post or draft:

  1. Go to Posts in your site's dashboard.  
  2. Click the More actions icon next to the post you want to delete.
  3. Click Move to Trash.
  4. Click Move to Trash to verify.

Note:
Once a post is moved to trash, it's views, likes, and comments are deleted permanently. Even if you restore the post, views, likes, and comments are not restored.

Restoring a deleted post or draft

Any posts you restore from the Trash tab are moved to the Drafts tab.

To restore a post:

  1. Go to Posts in your site's dashboard.  
  2. Click Trash.
  3. Hover over the post and click Restore.
    Note: The post is moved to the Drafts tab.

Deleting a post or draft permanently

Want to get rid of a post for good? Delete it from the Trash tab.

To permanently delete a post or draft:

  1. Go to Posts in your site's dashboard.  
  2. Click Trash.
  3. Click the Delete icon next to the post you want to permanently delete.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Note:
You can delete posts from your live site (while logged in as admin) or while in preview mode. Just click the More actions icon next to a post. Posts deleted this way will be permanently deleted.
