Remove unwanted posts from the Publish or Drafts tabs by moving them to Trash. If you change your mind, you can always restore them later.
Deleting a published post or draft
Send a post or draft to the trash. When you send a post or draft to the trash, it is stored in your trash until you choose to permanently delete it, or restore it to your blog feed.
To delete a published post or draft:
- Go to Posts in your site's dashboard.
- Click the More actions icon next to the post you want to delete.
- Click Move to Trash.
- Click Move to Trash to verify.
Note:
Once a post is moved to trash, it's views, likes, and comments are deleted permanently. Even if you restore the post, views, likes, and comments are not restored.
Restoring a deleted post or draft
Any posts you restore from the Trash tab are moved to the Drafts tab.
To restore a post:
- Go to Posts in your site's dashboard.
- Click Trash.
- Hover over the post and click Restore.
Note: The post is moved to the Drafts tab.
Deleting a post or draft permanently
Want to get rid of a post for good? Delete it from the Trash tab.
To permanently delete a post or draft:
- Go to Posts in your site's dashboard.
- Click Trash.
- Click the Delete icon next to the post you want to permanently delete.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Note:
You can delete posts from your live site (while logged in as admin) or while in preview mode. Just click the More actions icon next to a post. Posts deleted this way will be permanently deleted.
