Verifying Your Site with Bing Webmaster Tools

Verifying ownership of your domain on search engines helps to improve your presence in search results. You can verify your site with Bing Webmaster Tools by adding a meta tag to your Wix site.
Step 1 | Get your meta tag from Bing Webmaster Tools
First, you need to get a meta tag for your site from your Bing Webmaster Tools account.
To get your meta tag:
- Sign in to your Bing Webmaster Tools account.
- Enter your site's URL under Add your site manually.
- Click Add.
- Copy the meta tag under HTML Meta Tag.
Important: The code in the image below is a sample code. To get your code, you must sign in to your own Bing account.
- Leave Bing Webmaster Tools open.
Step 2 | Add your meta tag to your Wix site
Next, you need to add the meta tag from Bing Webmaster Tools to your Wix site using the Site Verification tool.
To add your meta tag:
- In a new tab, go to your SEO Dashboard.
- Select Go to Site Verification under Tools and settings.
- Click Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Enter the meta tag under Site verification tag.
- Click Save.
Step 3 | Complete the site verification on Bing Webmaster Tools
The final step is to use Bing Webmaster Tools to verify the meta tag that you've added to your site.
To verify your site:
- Go back to Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Click Verify.
- Click Done.
