Using Coupons as Loyalty Rewards

Rewards are coupons that customers receive when they earn enough points in your loyalty program. When you add a new reward you have the option of:
- Creating a new coupon for the reward
- Connecting an existing coupon to the reward (with a unique coupon code per reward)
Important note about coupons:
- Reward coupons are single-use coupons with a unique coupon code. If you connect a coupon as a reward, a different code is generated for each customer who claims the reward. This does not affect the original coupon code.
- If you connect a coupon that previously had an expiration date or amount limit, it will not be applied to the reward.
From the Loyalty dashboard you can create new rewards as well as edit the details of an existing reward such as the number of points needed to earn it and the reward description.

How does a customer claim a coupon?
When a customer has enough points to claim a coupon, they can get their reward by following these steps:
- Go to the My Rewards page on your site (one of the Members Area pages).
- Click Get Coupon next to the relevant reward.
- Copy the coupon code.
- Apply the code at checkout.
Note: This coupon code can only be used once.
