Spaces App: Editing Your Profile and Privacy Settings

In the Spaces by Wix app, you have a default profile that represents you with your name and photo. Your profile appears on every site you own or are a member of, but you can customize it for each of those sites.
You can also update the privacy settings for each profile to make it public or private. Making it public means members can interact with you and see your information. Making it private means your profile is only visible to you.
In this article, learn how to:
Editing your default profile
Your default profile displays your photo and name. This information is used for all sites that you own or are a member of.
To edit your default profile:
- Open the Spaces App.
- Tap My Profile
at the bottom. - Tap View Profile.
- Tap Edit Default Profile.
- Make the relevant changes to your profile:
- Profile picture: Tap the Camera icon
and tap an option:
- Take Photo: Take a new photo with your phone.
- Choose from Device: Select an existing photo from your phone.
- Remove Photo: Delete your existing profile photo.
- Profile name: Enter your first and last name in the relevant fields.
- Profile picture: Tap the Camera icon
Customizing your profile for each site
Customize your name and profile photo for each site that you own and are a member of.
For example, a personal trainer might want to have more than one profile. They might like a professional name to appear on their own fitness site and only want their nickname to appear on other sites they are a member of.
To customize your profile:
- Open the Spaces by Wix app.
- Tap My Profile at the bottom.
- Tap View Profile.
- Tap the profile of the site you want to change.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Make the relevant changes to your profile:
- Profile picture: Tap the Camera icon and tap an option:
- Take Photo: Take a new photo with your phone.
- Choose from Device: Select an existing photo from your phone.
- Remove Photo: Delete your existing profile photo.
- Profile name: Type the profile name you want other members to see.
- About Me: Write a little about yourself to share with other members.
- Overview: Update and edit information your share with the community such as your name, email and phone number.
Tip: You can choose what information to make public or private by tapping the Lock icon
next to the relevant field.
- Profile picture: Tap the Camera icon
- Tap Save.
Editing your profile privacy settings
Choose your profile's privacy level, depending on if you want members to see and interact with you. When your profile is public, you can write posts, comment on them, follow members and join groups. If you make your profile private, you can't interact with other members and they can't see your profile.
Note:
You can only set your profile to private on sites you're a member of.
To edit your privacy settings:
- Open the Spaces App.
- Tap My Profile at the bottom.
- Tap View Profile.
- Tap the profile of the site you want to change.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Scroll down to Privacy Settings and tap the Public Profile toggle:
- Enabled: Your profile is visible to everyone and members can interact with you.
- Disabled: Members cannot view your profile or interact with you.
- Tap Confirm.
Tip:
Tap Reset to Default Profile at any time if you want to use the profile details from your default profile.
