Requiring a Customer Phone Number when Checking Out with Paypal

When accepting payments with PayPal, you can make sure your customers include their phone number by making the field mandatory. 

To require a phone number of a customer who checks out with Paypal:

  1. Sign in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top right.
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. Click Website Payments on the left.
  5. Click Update next to Website Preferences.
  6. Scroll down to the Contact Telephone Number section.
  7. Select On (Required Field).
