Making Your First Sales as an Amazon Affiliate

Due to recent Amazon changes, new Amazon affiliates need to make 3 affiliate sales before the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key become active. 
Important:
Although Amazon provides you with the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key even before, you cannot complete setup of the Wix Amazon app successfully until you make 3 sales.
We are looking for a solution to this issue. In the meantime, you can make your first 3 sales using this workaround method. 

To make sales before connecting an affiliate account to the Wix Amazon app:

  1. In Amazon, save an image of a product you want to sell.
  2. Upload the image to your site. 
  3. Add a button to your site:
    1. Click Add on the left side of the Editor.
    2. Select Button.
    3. Drag a button under the image.
  4. Click Change Text.

  5. Enter button text to something like "Purchase on Amazon" or "Buy Now".
  6. Click the Link icon .
  7. Select Web Address on the left.

  8. Enter the URL (on Amazon) of your product on whose image you added to your site.

  9. Paste the Associate ID that you got from Amazon at the end of the URL without leaving any blank spaces.

  10. Click Done.
  11. (Optional) Repeat the above steps to add more products to your site.
  12. After you made three affiliate sales, go back to the Amazon app and connect your affiliate account. Learn More
