Limiting Coupon Usage

The Apply to drop-down is where you select the items a coupon applies. The options vary by coupon type and whether you're using Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, or another business solution.

Here is an example of "Apply to" options for Wix Stores:

Tip: To apply a coupon to a group of store products, you can create a hidden category  containing all those products. Then, you can apply the coupon to that category. 

You can create a coupon with a time limit (e.g. Offer good in July only) or create one that can be used at any time.

To limit when the coupon can be used, deselect the Don't set an end date checkbox and enter the end date. 

You can limit the number of times a coupon can be used (e.g. offer available for the first 50 customers) and prevent the same customer from using a coupon more than once.

To limit the number of times a coupon can be used, select the Limit the total number of uses for this coupon checkbox and enter the number of times.
Note: Multiple purchases by the same customer or by different customers are both counted.

To let customers use a coupon only once, select the Limit to one use per customer checkbox. 

When creating a price or percentage discount, after you select what it applies to (e.g. all Wix Bookings services), you can select how the coupon is applied when there are multiple items in the order. 

For example, select Apply once per order to limit the use of $ Discount or % Discount coupons to one item in a particular order.

 

This means if you have a 20% off all yoga classes coupon and a customer purchases two classes, the discount only applies to the less expensive class.
