Disabling PayPal Encryption Messages

If your customers receive an error message when making a payment through PayPal, it is possible that your PayPal profile may be set to accept payments from encrypted buttons only.

To disable the Encrypted Website Payments option:

  1. Sign in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click your name at the top right.
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. Click Website Payments on the left. 
  5. Click Update next to Website Preferences.
  6. Scroll down to the Encrypted Website Payments section.
  7. Select the Off checkbox.
