Date Field Settings

Set up your date field using the options below.

Setting	Explanation
Field title	Choose what text is displayed in the field. You leave the field empty, display the date, or write your own placeholder text for the field.
Show initial text	Nothing: The date picker starts off empty. Today's date: The date picker starts off displaying the current date. Placeholder text: The date picker displays a hint to the user of what to enter. The hint disappears as soon as the user starts typing. Enter the text in the Placeholder text section below.
This field is	Required: Users must enter a value in the date picker before submitting. Read only: The text in the date picker cannot be changed by the user. You could use a read-only field to display content from your collection, for example. The user is still able to select the field's value for copying.
Date format	Click the drop-down menu and select the date format.

Setting	Explanation
Show past dates	Choose if your visitors can select past dates or if they are greyed out on the calendar.
Show future dates	Choose if your visitors can select future dates or if they are greyed out on the calendar.
Week starts on	Click the drop-down and select which day of the week the calendar begins on.
Set active days	Deselect the checkboxes for any days that you want to grey out on the calendar. Your visitors cannot select inactive days.
Available Dates	Add date ranges that your visitors can select from.
Unavailable Dates	Add date ranges that are not available to your visitors.
