Customizing Your Wix Payments Statement Descriptor
Every payment you make with your credit card appears in your billing statement with a descriptor to help you recognize it. Add a custom statement descriptor to your Wix Payments account so that customers can recognize charges from your business.
To customize your statement descriptor:
- Go to Manage Wix Payments.
- Scroll down to Customer Statement Descriptor.
- Enter the name you do business as under Statement Descriptor.
- Your statement descriptor must be between 5-19 characters
- Your statement descriptor must be similar to your business name / legal entity name /, or URL
- Your statement descriptor should not be too generic (e.g. "Store"), or already in use (e.g. "Wix.com")
- Click Save.
Note:
Most banks display financial information consistently and in-line with the statement descriptor you have provided to Wix Payments. Some may display it incorrectly or not at all. Unfortunately, Wix Payments has no control of how banks choose to display financial information.
