CMS (Formerly Content Manager): Working with Collection Folders

Use collection folders in the CMS to keep collections in their own groups. This helps to keep your collections organized, especially when working with content across many collections.
For partners working with clients, using collection folders improves the handover process. You have a tool to organize collections in a way that makes it easy for clients to find the required collection. This way, they don't have to navigate a long list of collections.

Creating a collection folder
When creating a collection folder, you can also select a color for it, and add a description.
To create a collection folder:
- Go to CMS in your Editor:
- Wix Editor: Click CMS
on the left side of the Editor. - Editor X: Click CMS
at the top of Editor X.
- Wix Editor: Click CMS
- Click Collections.
- Click the Settings icon
. - Click View all Collections.
- Click More Actions.
- Click Create folder.
- Add a name for your folder in the Folder Name field.
- Select a color for your folder.
- (Optional) Add a description for your folder.
- Click Create.
Managing your collection folder
You can manage your collection folders from the CMS home screen. When you create a folder, and move a collection into it, your collection no longer appears on the CMS home screen.
In the same way, when you delete a collection folder, all the collections stored in it appear on the CMS home screen.
Note:
All types of collections can be moved into folders, including Wix app collections, and external collections.
To manage your collection folder:
- Go to CMS in your Editor:
- Wix Editor: Click CMS on the left side of the Editor.
- Editor X: Click CMS at the top of Editor X.
- Wix Editor: Click CMS
- Click Collections.
- Click the Settings icon .
- Click View all Collections.
- Click the More Actions icon
on the folder you want to manage and choose an option: Open folder, Edit folder, or Delete folder.
