Review Color Contrast

Color contrast refers to the measured difference in perceived brightness between two colors.

The difference in perceived brightness colors is expressed as a ratio ranging from 1:1 (no contrast) to 21:1 (strong contrast).

Visitors with visual disabilities or conditions may require a stronger color contrast in order to see the content. Creating strong color contrasts is therefore important, as it ensures that all visitors can view and enjoy the site.

You can create a contrast in the checker, and copy the shades to update the color of the element:

The required color contrast ratio depends on the element's type and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) level you want to achieve - AA (the minimum requirement), or AAA (enhanced):

Note: Only level AA is currently required in the Accessibility Wizard.
