Upload an image that highlights your category and helps site visitors know what to expect. The image is displayed as a banner on the relevant category page. It also appears in search results or when this category is shared in social media.

What is the recommended image ratio?

The recommended ratio for category images is 16:9.

How can I remove the image from category pages?

If you don't want to display category images on your site, you can hide them. Note that when you hide header images, they are not displayed on any of your category pages.

Tip: Even if you don't want to display images on your site, you can upload them so they appear in search results and social media posts.

Click Pages and Menuon the left side of the Editor.
Click Store Pages.
Click Category Page.
Click the Category Page in the Editor twice.
Click Settings.
Click the Settings tab.
Deselect the checkbox next to Image.
Tip: You can also hide the entire header.

Can I customize the header image?

Yes. To start customizing, first decide if you want the category name and description to appear under the image:

... or on top of the image.

Then you can make a number of additional customizations.

To customize the header image:

Click Pages and Menuon the left side of the Editor.
Click Store Pages.
Click Category Page.
Click the Category Page in the Editor twice.
Click Settings.
Click the Layout tab.
Customize your image layout:
- Select a Header section style.
- Select a Category info alignment (left, right, or center).
- Set the Category image height.
- Adjust the Spacing between title & description.
Click the Design tab.
Select Header Section.
Customize the image design:
- Customize the font of the header text options.
- Set the Category image corner radius to make the image corners more round or square.
