Accessibility: About Zoomed Content

3 min read
Some site visitors (such as those with visual disabilities or conditions) may use a zoom tool on their browser to magnify content and elements that are not large or clear enough for them to see at 100%.
Ensuring that your site is fully visible in zoom is therefore an important part of accessibility, as it helps these visitors view and navigate the content.
Good to know:
All of your site's content should be clear, visible, and legible at 200% zoom.
In this article, learn more about:

Checking your site's zoom

We recommend checking your site's zoom to ensure that all of your content is clear and visible at 200%. You can do this from your browser settings.
If you are using the Accessibility Wizard to improve your site's accessibility, you can check your site using the steps above, and then mark it as "Done" in the Wizard.

Resolving issues in zoomed view

When checking zoomed content on your site, there are certain things to keep in mind that may affect your site's accessibility. If you notice any of the following issues, we recommend rectifying them to ensure an improved experience for your visitors.

Pinned elements

Pinned elements are always visible on your live site, even when visitors scroll up or down the page. Commonly pinned elements include menus and buttons.
If you have pinned elements to both the left and right of the screen, you may notice that they overlap when you zoom in. Large pinned elements may also block out other content on your site.
You can change the position of pinned elements to prevent overlap or blocking content, or resize the elements to make them smaller.

Elements outside the gridlines

The Wix Editor contains gridlines to help you keep your site content visible on all screen sizes.  Elements that fall outside of the gridlines may therefore not be visible on smaller screens, or when a visitor zooms in.
If site content is cut off when you zoom in, we recommend moving the element within the gridlines
