Transferring a .co.uk Domain Away from Wix

Wix domains with a .co.uk suffix require a change of the IPS tag name in order to transfer them away from Wix. This process does not involve an authorization code (EPP code) like with other domain transfers.
Before you begin:
You need an IPS tag to submit a transfer request for .co.uk domains. Contact your new domain provider to get the IPS tag before starting the transfer process.
To transfer your domain away from Wix:
- Go to Domains in your Wix account.
- Click the Domain Actions icon
next to the relevant domain. - Click Transfer away from Wix.
- Click Transfer Domain after reviewing the important details of the process.
- Enter your new provider's IPS tag and click Continue.
- Click Submit Request to confirm your transfer.
What's next?
Contact your new domain provider as soon as possible to complete the transfer process. Some providers need to manually accept the request (known as a "handshake") so the IPS tag is updated in public databases. This should be done within 5 days to avoid your transfer being rejected.
