ADI: Adding a Video to Your Site

Add video to your site to showcase your brand, business or products as well as engage site visitors.
There are multiple ways to add videos to your site. You can add stand-alone videos, display your video in a gallery, or use the Wix Video player to showcase your videos with the added benefit of more advanced settings and design options.

Adding a single video
Liven up your site and its sections by adding videos. Videos are a great way of entertaining and engaging site visitors.
To add a single video:
- Click Add on the top bar inside ADI.
- Click Section to Page.
- Select a section that contains a media item.
- Hover over the media item and click Edit.
- Click Settings next to the media item on the left.
- Click Video below Media Type.
- Click Replace and select where you want to upload from:
- Youtube / Vimeo: Type a word or phrase to find a video, select it and click Add.
Tip: Switch between Youtube and Vimeo videos by clicking the relevant option below the search bar.
- Media from Wix: Choose a free professional video from the Wix Library. Click the video you want to upload and click Apply.
- Upload video: Click the video you want to upload and click Add to Page.
- Youtube / Vimeo: Type a word or phrase to find a video, select it and click Add.
Adding a video to a gallery
You can add a range of videos to your gallery. Upload your own videos, browse professional videos in the Wix Library, or add one from YouTube or Vimeo.
Before you begin: Add a gallery to your site
To add a video to a gallery:
- Click the gallery in the ADI Builder.
- Click Manage Media on the left.
- Click + Add Media.
- Click Video and choose where you want to upload from:
- Upload video: Click the video you want to upload and click Add to Page.
- Add from YouTube: Copy the video's web address from YouTube and click Update Gallery.
- Add from Vimeo: Copy the video's web address from Vimeo and click Update Gallery.
- Click Done.
Adding the Wix Video player
The Wix Video player offers more advanced options for sites that need more video capabilities. You can even sell and rent your videos, and live stream with Wix Video if needed.
To add Wix Video:
- Click Add on the top bar inside ADI.
- Click Section to Page.
- Click Video Player. If you don't see it, click See all and scroll down to Video Player.
- Select a layout.
- Set up your video player.
- (Optional) Choose a new design for your player.
