Purpose and scope
This Generative AI Policy outlines how Wix.com Ltd., together with its affiliated companies worldwide, develops, trains, retrains, fine-tunes, or substantially modifies generative AI models.
This Generative AI Policy covers artificial intelligence models that can generate derived synthetic content, such as text, images, video, and audio, that emulates the structure and characteristics of the artificial intelligence’s training data.
Dataset governance
Wix's generative AI activities utilize the following categories of data sources, drawn from the corrosponding legal bases.

These data sources’ scale range from millions to billions of data points per each individual data source. All these data sources may include personal information or aggregated consumer information. When handling personal information, Wix complies with our
Privacy Policy.
Data processing and management
The data sources detailed above have been collected by Wix since its incorporation on an ongoing basis in order to provide, maintain and improve our services to our users, including by developing, improving, and training Wix’s software tools, including artificial intelligence and machine learning models.
When developing, training, retraining, fine-tuning, or substantially modifying generative AI models, Wix cleans, processes, and makes other modifications to the datasets. The purpose of these actions is to improve the data’s quality, to support the development of Generative AI models that produce quality results, and to improve the Wix services. Wix may also utilize synthetic data to improve our Generative AI services.
Such cleaning, processing, and modification activities may include, among others, the following activities:
- Data validation
- Duplication or de-duplication
- Labelling
- Creation of synthetic data
- Removal of irrelevant data
- Removal of personally identifiable information (PII)
- Filtering of low-quality data
