Wix Restaurants: Customizing Your Response to Reservation Requests

Customize how you respond to reservation requests made by customers on your site. Choose if you want to manually confirm reservations, or automatically accept all reservations from your customers.
Important:
In both cases, you still need to accept or decline all incoming reservations. The response to customers upon booking their reservation will either be automatic - an instant confirmation, or manual - pending your restaurant’s confirmation. To customize your response to reservation requests:

  1. Go to your Reservation Settings in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Confirmation tab.
  3. Select one of the following:
    • Pending Confirmation: Select this option to let customers know that you will review their reservation and be in touch with them shortly. 
    • Instant Confirmation: Select this option if you want customers to receive an instant confirmation of their online reservation.
If you enabled Instant Confirmation, guests receive a notice like this on your site when they book the reservation.
Tip:
When a guest makes a reservation, it appears in the Reservations tab.
