Important:
- The Wix POS Go card reader is currently only available in the US, Canada and the UK.
- This article is about using the Wix POS Go as a standalone device.
With its intuitive touchscreen, the card reader allows you to browse through your store products, add the products to the cart, and then accept payment by card, cash, or gift card.

Checking out customers using Wix POS Go
After setting up your Wix POS Go and connecting it to your site, you can use it completely on its own to collect payments without the need for your phone or apps. Follow the steps below based on the type of payment you are collecting.
Checking out customers:
- Go to the Checkout tab on the bottom navigation bar of your Wix POS Go.
- Add items to the sale:
- Add products:
- Tap Products.
- (Optional) Scan a barcode, filter products, or search for products.
- Tap a product to add it to the cart.
- (Optional) Tap to select a variant.
- Tap the price total to add items to your cart.
- Add a custom charge:
- Tap Custom Charge.
- Enter your custom amount on the screen.
Tip: Use the minus and plus buttons to multiply the custom charge. - (Optional) Enter a description.
- Tap the Add tax toggle to enable or disable it.
- Tap Add to Cart.
- Add products:
- (Optional) Tap Add Customer to select a customer from your contacts.
- Tap Charge.
- (Optional) Tap Split Payment to break the payment into 2 or more separate charges.
- Select a payment method:
- Cash: Accept the payment in cash.
- Card: Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go device.
- Gift card: Scan or enter the gift card code.
- Select a receipt option.
Note: When choosing to send an email receipt, you can fill out the customer's details or search your existing contacts for a customer.
Tips:
From the cart you can:
- Tap Actions to add a custom charge, add a discount, redeem a coupon, or clear the cart.
- Tap products to edit or remove them.
- Tap Tax to disable tax for this sale.
