Wix Payments: PayPal Seller Protection

PayPal Seller Protection applies to 2 types of complaints:

You must provide valid and acceptable evidence to be able to recover funds from a chargeback with PayPal Seller Protection.
Please note that complaints may be handled differently depending on whether your customer has opened their claim through PayPal or through their bank.

PayPal determines whether your claim is eligible for PayPal Seller Protection. PayPal will make a decision, in its sole discretion, based on the coverage and eligibility requirements, any information or documentation provided during the resolution process, or any other information PayPal deems relevant and appropriate under the circumstances.

Chargebacks covered by PayPal Seller Protection are marked in the chargeback notification in your Wix Payments dashboard, both on desktop and mobile. Look for the PayPal Seller Protection shield logo  to see if a chargeback is covered. 

We recommend that you provide a combination of the following types of evidence. The more evidence you include, the more likely you are to win the dispute:

No. PayPal Seller Protection helps guard against losing money to claims, chargebacks and reversals, but a loss is still possible. However, by submitting the appropriate evidence, you are far more likely to win a chargeback dispute. Be sure to respond to requests for documentation and other information within the required timeframe.
