Wix Harmony Editor: Adding and Customizing a Transparent Video

Use transparent videos to add movement to your page in a way that feels like part of the design. The video background is transparent, so you can place it over sections, images, and other elements for a more layered look. Wix Harmony includes hundreds of free transparent videos in a range of styles and themes.

Add a transparent video from the Wix Harmony's built-in library and place it anywhere on your page. This is a great way to bring more motion and personality to sections that you want to draw attention to.

1. Go to your editor.

2. Click + Add at the top left of the editor.

3. Select Elements.

4. Click the Video icon  on the left.

5. Select the Transparent video tab.

6. Drag the transparent video onto your page.

Once your transparent video is on the page, you can adjust how it looks and behaves to fit your design. Change the video, update the cover image, recolor it, and choose how it starts and ends for visitors.

1. Go to your editor.

2. Click the relevant transparent video.

3. Use the available options on the action bar to customize the transparent video:

   • Replace Video: Choose another transparent video from the Media Manager, offered by Wix.

   • Change Cover: Change the cover image of this video. You can select one of the suggested frames for the video or choose your own image.

   • Recolor Video: Choose a different coloring style for the video (e.g. grayscale, dark wash, your own custom coloring, etc.)

   • Settings :

     • How does it start to play?: Decide if the video starts playing automatically or only when a visitor clicks or hovers over.

     • How does it end?: Decide if the video loops continuously, stops after it plays once, or replays when a visitor clicks on it.

     • Video: Choose another transparent video from the Media Manager, offered by Wix.

     • Video title: Display your video's title.

     • Accessibility: Click the Accessibility dropdown and add a short description to make your video accessible for visitors using assistive technology. Alternatively, you can set the transparent video as decorative if it does not include important information for visitors.
