Wix Functions: No Longer Supported

It is no longer possible to create new functions from the Wix Functions dashboard. This doesn't mean you can't continue to customize business logic that was available with Functions. Now, you can create customization options in the relevant Wix app. The goal is to make your functions easier to find and manage alongside the tools they're connected to.

Using your active functions

Your active functions continue to run without any interruption. Nothing about this change affects the way your existing functions behave. They remain live, active, and operational. You don't need to take any action to keep them running.

Editing your active functions

You can still access and edit your existing functions from the Wix Functions dashboard. You can update configurations, deactivate functions, or reactivate them at any time. No existing functions will be removed or disabled as a result of this change, and your full function history remains accessible from the dashboard.
New functions that were created in a Wix app or your site's checkout settings can only be edited where they were created.

Creating new functions through Wix apps

While you can no longer create new functions from the Wix Functions dashboard, you can create them directly within the relevant Wix app. Functions have moved into the apps themselves so that your business logic lives alongside the tools it supports.
For example, if you use Wix Stores, you can create checkout validations to apply custom rules during the checkout process. These options are accessible directly from your site's checkout settings in the dashboard.
