Wix Events: Allowing Assistants to Check in Guests

Allow others to check in event guests by assigning them the role of "check-in assistant". 
Check-in assistants have access to the Events tab in your dashboard. There, they can select the relevant event and mark when a guest arrives. They cannot edit event details or access other tabs. 
Tip:
Using the Wix Owner app, assistants can scan a ticket's QR code.

Assigning the role of "check-in assistant"

  1. Go to Roles & Permissions in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click +Invite People.
  3. Enter the person's email address.
    Tip: To invite more than one person, add a comma between email addresses.
  4. Select the Events Check-In Assistant role.
  5. Click Send Invite.
Before checking in guests, assistants must:
  • Click Accept Now in the email they received
  • Sign up (if needed) and log in to Wix.

Checking in guests via the Wix Owner app

Using the Wix Mobile app, assistants can manually check in guests or scan tickets using the QR scanner.
Important:
Send the following instructions to your assistant.

To check in guests using the Wix Owner app:

  1. Go to the relevant site in the Wix Owner app.
  2. Tap Manage  at the bottom.
  3. Tap Events.
  4. Select the relevant event.
  5. Tap the Manage tab.
  6. Tap Guest list.
  7. Check guests in:
    • Manual check-in: Tap the checkbox next to a guest's name.
    • Scan a ticket with the QR scanner: 
      1. Tap the QR code icon.
      2. Scan the QR code that appears on the guest's ticket.

Checking in guests via a computer

After logging into Wix and going to your site's dashboard, assistants can check in guests for any of your events.
Important:
Send the following instructions to your assistant.

To check in guests using a computer:

  1. Go to Events in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Check-in guests next to the relevant event.
  1. Select the Check-in column next to a guest to check them in.
