Wix Editor: Troubleshooting an Unresponsive Mobile Menu

When your site is loading, some elements, such as the background and the menu show while the rest of the page loads. Interactive elements, like the mobile menu, are not responsive until the page is fully loaded. 

If your mobile site takes a long time to load, we recommend only keeping relevant and important elements on the mobile version of your site, and hiding decorative elements from your mobile site.

Note: You can only hide elements that you added from the desktop editor. You cannot hide mobile-only elements, just delete them. Learn more about optimizing your site elements here.

Some elements can overlap the menu, causing it to be unresponsive. If you have any elements overlapping the menu, such as .png images, select the menu and arrange it to be in front.

Your menu is not responsive if all of the pages are hidden from the mobile site. 

In order to resolve this issue, you need to show pages on your site menu. 

If your domain name isn't properly connected to Wix, it results in the site displaying as a thin vertical strip. However, in some cases the site displays normally while the menu is unresponsive. Check the Wix Domain Assistant to see if the domain is properly connected.

If you're still experiencing issues after following these steps, you may be using an outdated version of the mobile menu on your site. Update it to ensure a smoother, better experience for you and your site visitors.
